You live and learn from Amateur
Radio and today I learned that
Western
Sahara is a disputed territory... the wiki entry describes
yet another unsatisfactory situation over disputed territory,
where the UN and international community has simply "failed
again". Amateur radio is one of a few ways the region has
to make contact with the world. They have very good website:
https://saharadx.jimdo.com/
Take a look and support their efforts. I would
imagine the Atlantic coast could become a
tourist haven..? (Water permitting)
The excellent
VOACAP Online shows the prevailing conditions.... it
is about the most contactable DX from the UK, but there
are hardly any operators. but one is Sahrawi Amateur
Radio Club
