hq3c @ G8CYK - 2017-03-28T21-28-33Z
This one got away. It was late and there were no other signals in 20m other than ever-reliable w2re remote in Maine, and hq3c (and was rag chewing with Caribbean neighbour p49mr (Aruba).

They didn't pause and listen for anyone else, or I am sure they would heard me calling. But conditions faded towards eh end - and then cam back so that mm0alm (Aberdeen) grabbed p49mr for a while.

The excellent VOACAP Online shows the prevailing conditions....  which suggests this contact shouldn't really have been possible. But that's radio for you.

This time the REVERSE path a different forecast suggesting it is tougher for teh Europe/Honduras route. There's not a lot in it - but a few dB makes all eh difference at the extremes.

It looks like this was a reliable forecast - agrees with VOA at around 50%
